Definition
Hukkok was a town on the border of Naphtali, named with Aznoth-tabor and situated near the boundary of Zebulun. It is commonly identified with Yakuk, though the identification is not certain.
Biblical Usage
Hukkok appears in the territorial description of Naphtali and helps mark the boundary between Naphtali and Zebulun.
Historical Background
The proposed site, Yakuk, lies west of Wady el-‘Amud and northwest of Gennesaret. The identification may be correct, though its distance from Tabor has raised difficulty.
Historical Bible Dictionaries
Easton's Bible Dictionary
Decreed, a town near Zebulun, not far from Jordan, on the border of Naphtali (Josh. 19:34). (See HELKATH.)
Smith's Bible Dictionary
(incised), a place on the boundary of Naphtali. (Joshua 19:34) It has been recovered in Yakuk, a village in the mountains of Naphtali west of the upper end of the Sea of Galilee.
International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE)

huk'-ok (chuqqoq): A town on the border of Naphtali named with Aznoth-tabor (Jos 19:34). It is usually identified with the village of yaquq, which stands on the West of Wady el-`Amud, to the Northwest of Gennesaret, about 4 miles from the sea. This would fall on the boundary of Zebulun and Naphtali, between Tabor and Hannathon (Jos 19:14). The identification may be correct; but it seems too far from Tabor.
