Paran, Mount
Mount Paran was a hilly region associated with the wilderness of Paran, probably near the northern part of the Sinai mountain group and the southern boundary of the Promised Land.
Definition
Mount Paran was a hilly region or upland wilderness on the northern side of the desert of Paran. It formed the southern boundary of the Promised Land and belonged to the wider Sinaitic mountain region.

Historical Background
It was probably the northwestern part of the Sinaitic mountain group, adjacent to the Wady Teiran, and may have consisted of a ridge or series of ridges near Kadesh.
