Speckled is a color description meaning marked with spots or varied coloring. In the King James Version it describes a horse in Zechariah’s vision.
The word appears in Zechariah 1:8 as part of the description of the horse seen in the vision. The Revised Version renders the term “sorrel.”
The difference is one of translation. The Revised Version replaces the King James Version’s “speckled” with “sorrel.”
