ABANAH
A principal river of Damascus, identified with the modern Nahr Barada. It rises in the Anti-Lebanon and supplies Damascus with water.
Biblical Usage
Abanah is mentioned with the Pharpar as a principal river of Damascus in the account of Naaman.
