Achmetha
Achmetha, or Ecbatana, was the ancient capital of Media. The decree of Cyrus permitting the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem was found there in the royal archives.
Biblical Usage
Achmetha appears in Ezra 6:2 as the place where the Persian records containing Cyrus’s decree were discovered.
