Adamant
Adamant refers to an exceedingly hard stone or substance. In Scripture it is used figuratively for steadfast resistance and for the hardness of people who refuse to hear God’s word.
Biblical Usage
Adamant is used figuratively for firmness in resisting opponents of the truth and for the hardness of those who refuse to hear God’s word. In Jeremiah 17:1 the same Hebrew term is translated “diamond.”
