ANTELOPE
The antelope mentioned in Scripture is a wild, swift animal, probably a gazelle or Arabian oryx. It appears in descriptions of clean animals and of people weakened or trapped like an animal in a net.
Biblical Usage
The antelope appears among the clean animals in Deuteronomy. Isaiah compares fainting people lying in the streets to an antelope caught in a net.
