Antipatris, Or Antipatris
Antipatris, or the Market of Appius, was the city to which Roman soldiers brought Paul during his transfer from Jerusalem to Caesarea. Herod the Great had rebuilt it in honor of Antipater.
Biblical Usage
The soldiers escorting Paul from Jerusalem conveyed him to Antipatris by night on the way to Caesarea.
