APPEARANCE
Appearance refers to outward form, visible semblance, or the way something looks. Scripture warns that outward appearance may be misleading and should not replace righteous judgment.
Biblical Usage
The Bible uses appearance for the visionary forms seen by Ezekiel and Daniel, Gabriel’s revelation, outward countenance, and visible display. It also warns against judging according to appearance and against glorying in appearance.
