An Aramitess was a female inhabitant of Aram, or Syria. The term is applied to the concubine-mother of Machir in the genealogy of Gilead.
Biblical Usage
The term is applied to the concubine-mother of Machir, the father of Gilead, in 1 Chronicles 7:14.
