Ascension
The Ascension was Christ’s bodily departure from earth into heaven after His resurrection. It marked His exaltation to the Father’s right hand, His continuing intercession, and His present reign as Lord and High Priest.
Biblical Usage
The New Testament presents Christ as taken up, seated at God’s right hand, and active in heaven. The Ascension is associated with the gift of the Spirit, Christ’s headship and authority, His intercession, advocacy, priesthood, help for believers, and future return.
