ASK
To ask may mean to inquire, seek counsel, request, or implore. In prayer it presents a needy person as a child making a welcome request to the Father, with confidence that God hears requests made according to His will.
Biblical Usage
In prayer, asking presents the petitioner as a child requesting from a father. The petitioner asks because of need and because he is assured of welcome; requests made according to God’s will are assured of being granted.
