BLINDFOLD
A covering placed over the eyes, used in an ancient game in which the blindfolded person was struck and asked to identify the offender. Jesus was treated this way by His persecutors.
Biblical Usage
Jesus’ persecutors treated Him in this manner, striking and asking Him to identify the person who had struck Him.
