Calneh
Calneh was one of the cities of Nimrod’s kingdom, listed with Babel, Erech, and Accad. It is also called Calno and Canneh in other passages; its identification with Nippur has been proposed but remains uncertain.
Biblical Usage
Calneh appears among the cities of Nimrod’s kingdom and is later mentioned in connection with Tyre’s commerce. It is also named in a prophetic passage concerning cities that had been destroyed or threatened.
