Christian
Christian means a follower or adherent of Christ. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch, and the name appears in the New Testament as a recognized designation for believers in Jesus.
Biblical Usage
The word occurs three times in the New Testament: at the naming of the disciples at Antioch, in Agrippa’s response to Paul, and in Peter’s reference to suffering as a Christian.
