Chronology
Chronology is the arrangement of events according to time. Biblical dates are reckoned in different ways, including from the Exodus, the reigns of kings, and the return from exile, so exact systems may differ.
Biblical Usage
Biblical chronology reckons events through dates connected with the Exodus, royal reigns, exile and return, and the ages of the patriarchs. Differences appear among the Hebrew text, the Septuagint, and the Samaritan Pentateuch.
