Colossae
Colossae was a city of Phrygia in the Lycus valley near Laodicea and Hierapolis. A Christian church existed there in the apostolic period and was associated with Epaphras and Philemon.
Biblical Usage
Paul addressed the church at Colossae, though the supplied material indicates that he probably had not visited the city when he wrote. Epaphras, with Timothy, was associated with the preaching of the gospel there. Colossae was also the home of Philemon and Epaphras.
