CONSIST
To consist means to stand together, exist, or continue. Colossians teaches that all things consist in Christ, whose sustaining rule preserves the created order.
Biblical Usage
All things consist in Christ, meaning that the continuance of the universe depends upon His support and administration. Wealth, by contrast, is not essential to the highest ideal of life.
