CORRUPTION, MOUNT OF
The Mount of Corruption was the hill east of Jerusalem where Solomon built high places for Ashtoreth, Chemosh, and Milcom. It is identified with the southern height of the Mount of Olives.
Biblical Usage
The mountain is associated with Solomon’s idolatrous high places and is named in the account of their removal.
