COUNTENANCE
The countenance is the face or visible appearance, often reflecting a person’s feelings and character. Scripture speaks of cheerful, sad, troubled, angry, or favored countenances and warns judges not to favor persons.
Biblical Usage
Scripture speaks of the light, health, help, or rebuke of the countenance and of setting the countenance upon someone. Judges are warned not to favor a poor person or make distinctions of persons in judgment.
