CREATURE, LIVING
The living creatures are heavenly beings seen in Ezekiel’s visions and in Revelation. They are associated with the cherubim, God’s throne and presence, and continual praise and service before Him.
Biblical Usage
Ezekiel’s living creatures bear the throne and glory of God and sound forth His praise. Revelation’s four creatures represent the created order through the man, lion, ox, and eagle, and their eyes and wings signify intelligence, readiness, service, and continual praise.
