Eden
Eden was the land in which God planted the garden where Adam and Eve lived before the Fall. The name means “delight,” and Eden is also used of a region and of a Levite in the time of Hezekiah.
Biblical Usage
The Garden of Eden is presented as a place of abundant vegetation, animals, irrigation, and humanity’s primitive dwelling before the Fall. Eden is also used in later biblical descriptions of beauty and luxuriance.
