ETERNAL
Relating to unending duration or to an age without limit. In Scripture it describes God, Christ’s indestructible life, eternal life, and the lasting realities of the age to come.
Biblical Usage
The New Testament uses eternal of divine action, eternal life, and realities contrasted with temporary things. Christ guarantees eternal life because He lives, and the word may describe not only endless duration but the quality of spiritual life.
