Fold
An enclosure where sheep or other flocks rested together. Sheepfolds appear in descriptions of pastoral life and are also used as images of places occupied by flocks after human settlements are desolated.
Biblical Usage
Sheepfolds appear in descriptions of pastoral life. Prophecies concerning Ammon, Aroer, and Judea speak of places becoming folds or resting places for flocks.
