Gibbethon
Gibbethon was a city in the territory of Dan assigned to the Kohathite Levites. It later belonged to the Philistines, and Israelite kings were killed during sieges there.
Biblical Usage
Nadab, king of Israel, was killed by Baasha while besieging Gibbethon. Later, when news came of Zimri’s actions, Omri was made king by the army at Gibbethon.
