Gift
A gift is something given as a present, offering, tribute, dowry, charitable provision, or—when corruptly offered to influence judgment—a bribe. Scripture also speaks of God’s gracious gifts and gifts offered in worship.
Biblical Usage
Scripture describes gifts offered to God, given to secure favor, presented as tribute or dowry, and distributed to the poor. It also condemns gifts used as bribes and speaks of God’s free gift and spiritual gifts.
