Giloh
Giloh was a town in the hill country of Judah and the home of Ahithophel, David’s counselor who later supported Absalom and took his own life.
Biblical Usage
Ahithophel is called the Gilonite because he came from Giloh. During Absalom’s revolt, Ahithophel later committed suicide when his counsel was not followed.
