Glory
Glory refers to honor, majesty, splendor, or wealth, and supremely to the manifested presence and perfection of God. Scripture also uses it for the honor given to Christ and for the future blessedness of God’s people.
Biblical Usage
Scripture speaks of the glory of God, Christ, His people, nations, and earthly possessions. “Give glory to God” can function as an appeal to confess the truth or acknowledge sin. Christ is described as the brightness of the Father’s glory, and glory is associated with the future blessedness of God’s people.
