GODDESS
A goddess is a female deity in pagan religion. Scripture uses the term for Ashtoreth, worshiped by the Sidonians, and for Diana of Ephesus.
Biblical Usage
The term is applied to Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, in 1 Kings 11:5,33, and to Diana of Ephesus in Acts 19:27,35,37.
