Gospels
The Gospels are the four New Testament books—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—that record the person, teaching, works, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Together they proclaim Him as the Savior and Son of God.
Biblical Usage
The Gospels proclaim the good message that the Savior has come. Matthew presents Christ as the promised King, Mark as mighty in deed and word, Luke as the Savior of sinners, and John as the Son of God in whom deity and humanity are united.
