Hittits
Hittits is an alternate spelling for Hittites, the descendants of Heth and one of the peoples associated with Canaan. They appear in the accounts of Abraham, Israel’s conquest, and David’s kingdom.
Biblical Usage
Abraham purchased Machpelah from the children of Heth through Ephron the Hittite. The Hittites later joined other Canaanite peoples against Israel during the conquest, and individuals connected with David are mentioned afterward.
