INFLAMMATION
Inflammation refers chiefly to a burning fever or similar illness in Deuteronomy 28:22. In Leviticus 13:28, the term is better understood as a scar.
Biblical Usage
Deuteronomy 28:22 uses the term for a burning fever; Jewish writers treated it as such, while the Septuagint understood it as a form of ague. In Leviticus 13:28 the Revised Version renders the related term “scar.”
