Inspiration
Inspiration is God’s supernatural work in giving the Holy Scriptures through human writers. Scripture is described as God-breathed and therefore authoritative and profitable for teaching, correction, and righteousness.
Biblical Usage
The sacred writings are declared profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness because of their divine origin. Scripture is also presented as prophetic and as more certain than human testimony, and its authority is affirmed by Christ and his followers.
