Ittai
Ittai was a Gittite commander and loyal follower of David during Absalom’s rebellion. Another man named Ittai was a Benjamite among David’s mighty warriors.
Biblical Usage
The Gittite Ittai followed David when Absalom rebelled, refusing David’s advice to return to Jerusalem. David placed him over a division of the army alongside Joab and Abishai.
