Justice of God
God • Both
The justice of God is his perfect righteousness in governing creation. He gives righteous law, judges sin, rewards faithfulness, and punishes transgression without ceasing to act mercifully and redemptively.
Biblical Usage
God’s justice is portrayed as an unchangeable expression of His holy nature. It cannot treat sin as acceptable and necessarily regards transgression as deserving punishment. His remunerative justice gives rewards, while His punitive justice inflicts punishment for sin.
