Leprosy
Leprosy was a serious skin disorder or comparable spreading condition governed by Israel’s laws of diagnosis, separation, and cleansing. Jesus demonstrated His mercy and authority by healing lepers and restoring them to fellowship.
Biblical Usage
Lepers were required to live outside the camp or city and were regarded as ceremonially unclean. Jesus healed lepers, and the healing was presented as a manifestation of divine power and as an illustration of cleansing from sin.
