Light
Light is both the created brightness of the world and a biblical symbol of truth, holiness, joy, instruction, and salvation. Christ is presented as the supreme Light, and His people are called to reflect it.
Biblical Usage
God is described as dwelling in inaccessible light, and Christ is presented as the supreme Light and the light of the world. John the Baptist and Christ’s disciples are also called lights, as they bear and reflect divine truth.
