MYNDUS
Myndus was a city on the western end of a peninsula in Asia Minor. It had a Jewish population and was known particularly for nearby silver mines; the Roman senate mentioned it in a letter concerning the Jews.
Biblical Usage
According to 1 Maccabees, Myndus was among the places to which the Roman senate sent a letter on behalf of the Jews in 139 BC.
