Nail
A nail in Scripture may be a tent peg, a metal fastener, a hub-related point, or a finger-nail. Nails are also used figuratively for security, written guilt, and the nails fastening Christ to the cross.
Biblical Usage
Nails appear in accounts of Jael and Sisera, the construction of the temple, and the nails fastening Jesus to the cross. Scripture also uses nail imagery for a secure ruler or support, for written guilt, and for purification involving the fingernails.
