Neapolis
Neapolis was the seaport in northern Greece where Paul and his companions first landed in Europe. It served as the port of Philippi and was also used on later journeys.
Biblical Usage
Paul sailed from Troas to Neapolis and then went inland to Philippi. He probably passed through it again on a later journey and embarked there for the voyage from Philippi toward Troas and Jerusalem.
