Neginah is the singular form of Neginoth and denotes music performed with stringed instruments. It appears in the title of Psalm 61.
Biblical Usage
In the title of Psalm 61, Neginah identifies the musical accompaniment or instrumental performance. “The chief musician on Neginoth” was the leader of the part of the temple choir that played stringed instruments.
