Nimshi
Nineveh was the great capital of Assyria on the Tigris. Jonah preached there, but later prophets foretold its destruction because of its violence and pride.
Biblical Usage
Nimshi appears in the accounts of Jehu’s anointing and reign, where Jehu is identified through him.
