Nopha
Nophah was a city or place in the territory of Moab occupied by the Amorites. It is mentioned only in an ancient song preserved in Numbers, and its text is uncertain.
Biblical Usage
Nophah occurs only in the victory song preserved in Numbers. The song appears to have been composed by the Amorites after their conquest of Heshbon from the Moabites, before Israel’s invasion.
