The Mount of Olives is the mountain ridge east of Jerusalem, across the Kidron Valley. It was connected with David’s flight, Solomon’s idolatrous high places, Jesus’ ministry and prayer, and His ascension.

It was associated with David’s flight, Solomon’s idolatrous high places, Jesus’ teaching, prayer, sorrow over Jerusalem, betrayal, and ascension. Jesus often withdrew there with his disciples and crossed it on the way to Bethany and Jerusalem.
