Pamphylia
Pamphylia was a coastal province in southern Asia Minor, between Lycia and Cilicia. Paul and Barnabas passed through it during missionary travel, and Paul later sailed near its coast.
Biblical Usage
Pamphylia was visited by Paul and Barnabas after they preached in Cyprus. They reached Perga, later left the region through its chief seaport Attalia, and Paul subsequently sailed near its coast. Jews from Pamphylia were present at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. Christianity was introduced there by Paul and Barnabas, though it was slow to become established.
