Perez
Perez, also called Pharez, was the son of Judah and Tamar. His descendants became an important family in Judah, including the royal line leading to David.
Biblical Usage
The children of Perez included prominent families in David’s administration and among the returned community. A chief captain in David’s first month and many who returned with Zerubbabel belonged to his family.
