RAISE
To raise means to cause someone or something to rise, establish, awaken, or restore. In Scripture it may refer to raising up leaders, descendants, or the dead.
Biblical Usage
Scripture speaks of raising up seed, prophets, judges, and kings. In the New Testament the word frequently describes awakening or raising the dead, including the raising of Jesus and the future rising again.
