Redeemer
A redeemer restores another person’s rights, property, or freedom and may act as an avenger of wrongs. The title is supremely applied to Christ, who redeems his people from sin.
Biblical Usage
The title is applied especially to Christ. He redeems his people from evil by the payment of a ransom.
