REQUIRE
To require means to seek after, ask, demand, or call for something. Biblical usage includes requesting information, demanding an obligation, and seeking what is due.
Biblical Usage
The King James Version uses “require” in contexts involving asking, seeking, demanding, and what is expected or owed. The Revised Version makes little change to these uses.
