RESTORATION
Restoration is the promised setting right of what sin and judgment have marred. Biblical prophecy connects it with the Messiah’s reign, the renewal of God’s people, and the future order spoken of by the prophets and apostles.
Biblical Usage
The prophets anticipated restoration after national destruction. Jesus and the apostles assumed a future restoration, including John’s preparatory regeneration, the regeneration of the world, and the restoration spoken of by the prophets under Christ’s reign.
